Ride Leader: Salt

Hi Cruisers

After the last ride I felt it only appropriate that this ride will basically be a pub crawl laced with a bit of a cruise in the country in between, this of course by no

means condones drink driving/riding and you are as always encouraged to drink responsibly. Stands up 9.00am at Gloria’s, come early and buy something, all businesses are a feeling the pinch at the moment and Gloria would be no exception I’m sure, she is a great supporter of the club so please turn up a little early and do likewise even if it is just to buy a drink, besides it’s a good chance for a chin wag.

We will set of out from Worongary through Nerang alone Alexander Drive towards Canungra, then on through Mundoolun toward Jimboomba, we will turn off a little beforehand and take our usual back road through Veresdale Scrub  and then turn right onto the Mount Lindesay Highway and into the first of four pubs for the day The Veresdale Hotel https://thev.com.au/ where you are encouraged to order a refreshing lemonade and have a brief leg stretch.

From here for a change we are going to head into Beaudesert which we normally bypass, I’m doing this so that we can stop at the servo for those with a short fuel range to top up the tank, after which a really nice easy cruise out past Wyaralong Dam and onto Ipswich Boonah Road then out through Millbong and into Harrisville for the second pub of the day, The Royal Hotel at Harrisville,  https://www.royalhotelharrisville.com.au/ this is another beautiful old pub and one that someone who shall remain nameless (you know who you are) begs me to take the club to for lunch every year, however on this occasion I am sorry to disappoint as this will be a drink stop only and a leg stretch, you are again encouraged to partake in a refreshing lemonade.

After this we will do a short jaunt out of Harrisville through Munbilla, Kalbar and then left into Boonah Fassifern Road into Boonah where we will arrive at our lunch destination for the day, the third hotel for the day and a regular stop The Dugandan Hotel, https://www.dugandanhotel.com.au/ where we can relax on the deck and enjoy lunch in a yet another lovely old Queensland pub, I have attached a link for anyone interested to the menu: https://www.dugandanhotel.com.au/tcms/uploads/Dugandan%20Menu%20Full_1581984167.pdf

After lunch there is a BP servo down the road in Boonah for those that feel they want to top up with fuel again as (please take the opportunity to duck out to the servo once you have finished your lunch if you need to as the ride will not be stopping here) we will ride straight back past the dam and through Beaudesert on the way home and onto the fourth and final pub for the day the Canungra Hotel for last drinks, http://www.canungrahotel.com.au/ at this point the ride concludes, total distance for the day to this point will be around 230klm and there are servo’s in Canungra as I am sure you are all aware for those that wish to top up before heading home.

I have deliberately kept this ride fairly simple to accommodate the annual dinner which is on the same night, so you’ll be home in plenty of time to freshen up your make up before joining us for a refreshing lemonade later that night at yet another pub, hope to see you all there and look forward to a fun day out

Regards Salt
